Local Government Act 1995
Objects:
- to provide for the constitution of elected local governments in the State;
- to describe the functions of local governments;
- to provide for the conduct of elections and other polls; and
- to provide a framework for the administration and financial management of local governments and for the scrutiny of their affairs.

Regional Development Commissions Act 1993
Objects:
- to establish regional development commissions, to coordinate and promote the development of regions and to establish a regional development council.

Animal Welfare Act 2002
Objects:
- to provide for the welfare, safety and health of animals and to regulate the use of animals for scientific purposes, and for related purposes.

Dog Act 1976
Objects:
- to consolidate the law relating to the control and registration of dogs, the ownership and keeping of dogs and the obligations and rights of persons in relation thereto.

Control of Vehicles (Off-road Areas) Act 1978
Objects:
- to prohibit the use of vehicles in certain places; and
- to make provision as to the use of vehicles otherwise than on a road, for areas where the use of off-road vehicles shall be permitted, for the registration of off-road vehicles, and for related purposes.

Local Government Grants Act 1978
Objects:
- to provide for the distribution to local governments in Western Australia of certain financial assistance provided by the Commonwealth; and
- to provide for the establishment of a Western Australian Local Government Grants Commission.

Caravan and Camping Grounds Act 1995
Objects:
- to provide for the licensing of caravan parks and camping grounds;
- to regulate caravanning and camping;
- to improve and promote caravanning and camping;
- to ensure that the design and layout of land used for caravan parks and camping grounds and the provision and availability of amenities and services meet desirable standards; and
- to ensure that the standards of caravans and annexes in caravan parks are adequate to protect the health and safety of the occupiers.

Cemeteries Act 1986
Objects:
- to provide for the declaration and management of cemeteries;
- to provide for the establishment, constitution and functions of cemetery boards; and
- to provide for the licensing of funeral directors and the regulation of burials.

City of Perth Restructuring Act 1993
Objects:
- to dissolve the council of the City of Perth; and
- to divide the district of the City of Perth into four districts being the City of Perth and three new municipalities and to provide for elections of councils for them, and for related matters.

Objects:
- to provide for the control and management of cattle trespass, pounds, pound keepers and rangers; and
