Local government needs young, talented employees who are willing to learn about local government and aspire to be industry leaders.

Recruiting Women into Local Government
Local government recognises the important role women play in the local government sector. Women are under represented in the local government sector, particularly in management and decision making positions.

There are several programs available which aim to encourage and assist women to seek employment and progress their careers in the WA local government sector. These include a mentoring program to support and promote the careers of women in the sector.
