Connecting Local Governments (CLG) Feasibility Funding

Grants of up to $50,000 are available for local governments to undertake feasibility studies to explore opportunities to:
  • Amalgamate local governments
  • Establish regional local governments
  • Establish voluntary regional organisations of councils
  • Adjust local government boundaries
  • Develop resource-sharing initiatives
How to apply
Interested local governments wishing to be considered for funding must complete an application form. Enquiries can be made to the Department of Local Government and Regional Development’s Community Capacity Building branch on 92171500.

Connecting Local Governments (CLG) Implementation Funding

Up to $200,000 is available for local governments to implement projects that have been the subject of previous agreements or feasibility studies. This will have demonstrated that the project can improve the capacity and efficiency of local government in Western Australian through collaborative service delivery.
