The Department is an active partner in the development of policy and strategies aimed at improving services to regional communities. It provides advice, financial and other assistance and information to regional communities throughout Western Australia to enhance their economic and social development.

It also provides communications and information services to regional communities through Westlink and the Western Australian Telecentre Network.
